Promising two-year-old filly Winx followed her impressive debut win at Warwick Farm on 4 June with another good win here. She again did not show a lot of early pace and settled fifth on the rails in the small six-horse field. She got through along the rails nearing the turn, was briefly held up for a run before getting into the clear at the 200m. She then came with a good run to score by a length and a half, running the 1400m out well. She looks suited to further still and is the makings of a smart filly. Inz’n’out led the field until half way down the straight. He battled on gamely under his top weight (59kg), finding the winner too good with her 3kg advantage, over the closing stages and then held on well for second. Another Al raced outside the leader Inz’n’out, challenged that horse strongly at the 300m and kept fighting on well for a sound third. *ANZ
