Hallowed Crown put in a huge run first up from a spell coming from third last and widest on the home turn to motor home late on the outside drawing away to score with a little in hand. Hallowed Crown remains undefeated after three runs and is a most talented horse. Kumaon came from fourth last on the fence on the inside of the winner. He stayed closer on cornering and came between runners before switching out into the clear at the 300m. He finished on gamely to grab second in the final 50m. A sound effort. Ygritte was quickly away from the gates and used up to sit outside the leader Sniper Fire. She pressed the leader at the top of the straight taking the lead at the 200m. She battled on gamely but could not match the winner or second horse on her outside. A good effort considering the early work she did from her wide barrier. Sarajevo was taken back to last from his wide barrier (10). He was still well back on turning for home and held up for a run between runners at the top of the straight. He did not look comfortable in the heavy ground and battled on gamely for fourth. Nostradamus enjoyed a nice run in the race third on the fence. He pushed out into the clear in the straight and had his chance but knocked up badly in the concluding stages to finish seventh. *ANZ
