A good win to Greatwood who led throughout and proved far the better in the straight to score with a little in reserve. This was only Greatwood’s second start in Australia he should improve for the run and for more distance, a promising stayer. Bonfire also ran well. He raced in third position on the back of the leader. He travelled well approaching the home turn and switched across heals to the middle of the track at the top of the straight. He battled on gamely on the outside for third but never threatened the winner. A promising effort and he too should be improved by the run. He’s Your Man raced on the outside of the leader in the run. He pressed him approaching the home turn but could not match him in the straight stayed on gamely at one pace for third.
