Team Hawkes-trained colt Snoopy resumed after his debut win in a 2YO Maiden Handicap (1209) at Seymour in January to score another good win here. He was quickly away and then eased to settle nicely outside the leader (Pakaya Prince), travelling at a steady tempo. He took a while to wind-up as the pace increased, before getting to the front at the 50m and he then went on to win well. More Than Most tracked the eventual winner (racing in fourth place, one out and one back) before putting in a good run to challenge nearing the 300m. He then kept battling on particularly well in the sprint-home, putting up a good first-up effort in taking second. Patch Adams was third on the rails, and finished well when clear late to grab a good third from Pakaya Prince who led until the final 100m before finishing a close-up fourth.
