Well-regarded filly Tear Gas ($1.50 fav) was most disappointing. She led the field, with Craig Williams being able to set a moderate tempo, but she was quickly under pressure in the straight and weakened for four and a quarter lengths seventh, looking tested by the 2100m distance. The winner A Chiller was seventh on the rails, got a split at the 300m and finished too well to score by a length and a quarter from Green Roller who raced outside the leader, went to the front half-way down the straight and then fought on for a sound second with her 58kg. *ANZ
