Analysis: Tweet was restrained at the start and settled second to last. She always travelled comfortably and approaching the turn was able to sneak up along the fence to be only three lengths from the lead. At the 250m she was temporarily blocked for a run but switched across heels behind the leaders and let down with a good sprint to win by a widening half length margin. Mineko jumped well from her inside barrier and was perfectly positioned on the rails behind the leader. At the 200m she dashed through a gap between the two leaders and hit the lead but was run down late by the winner. Northern Glory’s performance was good as she was used up to cross from her wide barrier to lead. She fought on bravely to be beaten only a length. Estonian Princess worked home solidly for fourth after being caught deep throughout and will appreciate further. *ANZ
