The Chris Waller-trained filly Mamwaazel won well. She began smartly and was eased to settle in second place. She moved up nicely approaching the home turn and took the lead passing the 200m. She then fought back well to score a solid half-length win. The Anthony Cummings-trained Madame Ginoux ($4.20 fav), an impressive winner on debut recently at Kembla, settled in last place in the seven-horse field. She was urged to improve at the 500m and moved up well wide-out rounding the home turn. She challenged at the 150m and kept running on well for a good second. She looks suited to further and is a promising staying filly. *ANZ
