Ron Quinton-trained filly Absolute Empress has now raced five times for three wins. She was quickly away and soon took the lead. She then settled well, sprinted clear on turning for home but shied and ducked out nearing the 50m but still had enough in hand to win in a photo finish, putting up a sound effort in beating older rivals here and then survived a protest from the runner-up.
