Aerobar was very smartly away and she settled nicely outside the leader, the favourite Echo Gal. She was travelling well as she improved nearing the home turn, challenged on straightening and after a brief battle, went to the front at the 100m and then drew clear to score a good win by just over a length. Echo Gal went straight to the front, held the lead until nearing the 100m and then battled on for second, beaten a length and a quarter, after seeming to have every chance. Cyclone did now show any early pace and settled at the tail of the nine-horse field. He switched deep on entering the straight and ran on to take third in a photo with a good late-closing effort. Second favourite Choice We Had enjoyed a good trip, fifth on the rails. He got a good run through to be third at the 200m and battled on that point for (1.6 lengths) fourth after appearing to have every chance.
