Bjorn Baker-trained colt Ubatuba followed placings at his two starts since resuming with a really good win here. He began well and then eased to settle in seventh (trapped wide) before moving up (deep) rounding the home turn. He hit the front (in the centre of the track) at the 100m and then went on to score a good win despite a wide trip. Godolphinraced colt Ghostly raced in sixth place, on the rails, got between runners nearing the home turn and briefly went to the front nearing the 100m. He then fought on for a sound second, going well on debut.
