Min Woo Lee looking to take next leap forward
The second-highest-ranked Australian at 36th in the world standings is Min Woo Lee, who is also an outsider to challenge the big names at Valhalla this week.
At 67.00 in the outright odds for the PGA Championship, Lee's best finish at a major came last year with a fifth-place finish at the US Open.
A rising star of Australian golf, Lee will be hoping his progress in recent years can help deliver that first major title.
Trio looking to cause an upset
Adam Scott, Cameron Davis and Lucas Herbert are the other three Australians ready to compete in Kentucky this week.
Former Masters champion Scott is 101.00 to cause a shock and win the 2024 PGA Championship, while Davis and Herbert are available at 176.00 and 251.00 respectively to finish top of the leaderboard.

David Graham was the very first Australian to win the PGA Championship back in 1979.
Winning a playoff against the American Ben Crenshaw at the Oakland Hills Country Club in Bloomfield, Michigan, Graham pocketed the USD 60,000 winner's prize.
Brooks Koepka, who won last year's PGA Championship, took home the sum of USD 3,150,00.
Following on from Graham's success in 1979, Wayne Grady was the next Australian to win this event at the Shoal Creek Club in Birmingham, Alabama in 1990.
Countryman Steve Elkington beat Colin Montgomerie at Riviera to win the PGA Championship just five years later.
The fourth and last Australian to win this major is Day, who beat Jordan Speith by three strokes to claim the title at Whistling Straits in 2015.
