Stepping out for her eighth start this time in, the Sue Grills trained galloper has continued to prove a model of consistency having placed at five of her last seven starts all of which she has finished less than two lengths from the winner.

Dropping back sharply in grade from her last start performance where she finished a close fourth at Gosford, the daughter of Octagonal sits very well placed in the ratings with her last start performance rated the second highest 50 day Timeform figure of the field with 79, just two pounds shy of Rhondite who recorded 81 when finishing sixth in the Walcha Cup four starts back.

While on ratings Rhondite has performed at a higher level, he has often struggled with consistency and hasn't come close to that mark since. Miss Alignment however has continued to show good improvement with each performance this time in and actually recorded a career best performance at her last start which indicates she is on an upward spiral.

Apprentice rider Sophie Young will jump back aboard this afternoon having ridden the five-year-old to victory two starts back at Tamworth. Claiming two kilograms in this afternoons event, Miss Alignment looks very well placed sitting just half a kilogram above the minimum.

A noted on-speed galloper expect Young to roll forward from the handy draw and sit just off the speed with the Jeff Englebrecht trained I'm In The Money and the Peter Bloomfield trained Weepu ensuring the race is run at a good solid tempo.

While she is yet to feature at her two prior attempts at this track expect her to have no troubles breaking through in this today and she should prove very hard to beat.

The Con Karakatsanis trained Turbo Day appears the biggest danger in the race coming into this off a five week freshen up following his below par performance at Gosford last start.

While he did have excuses having been bumped heavily at the start, his performance to finish a close seventh behind Exotic Escape two back at Canterbury reads very well for this affair.

Adding to that unlike a majority of this field he is only lightly raced and is open to further improvement. He should be better suited dropping back to 1100m and from the awkward draw expect Lester Grace to settle him up on the speed and if close to the mark he should be right in the finish.

Rounding out the leading contenders is the Kris Lees trained I'm Mary Too who will also be dropping back in grade having finished third at Newcastle last start over 900m.

While she may be a slight concern at the trip her effort to finish second behind Hadronica at Rosehill three back she must be considered one of the leading hopes.

The Peter Bloomfield trained Weepu and the Jeff Englebrecht trained I'm In The Money appear the next in line.

Good luck and happy punting.
