Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Wyong, Wagga, Warrnambool, Rockhampton and Pinjarra.

WYONG: RACE 3 @ 1:25 PM

BLACK TIARA (9) disappointed as fav here last start when shuffled back from the soft draw to finish sixth over this track and trip on April 11. Has fitness on her side today and no shock to see her bounce back here. IRISH BLISS (4) lightly raced gelding who made an encouraging return when showed good early speed to hold on and secure second over 1300m at Kembla Grange on April 20. Gets in light again with the claim and strips fitter now. BERTIE (8) trained on the track and fitter after two runs back. Should keep improving as he steps up in trip and can add value to the exotics. SMART SERENADE (5) unwanted in betting on debut when an encouraging fourth over 1250m at Taree on April 2. Fitter now and can sneak into the minor money.
SELECTIONS: Black Tiara to win.

WAGGA: RACE 5 @ 3:00 PM

FIFI BLUE (9) has turned into quite the bridesmaid of late with five consecutive minor placings. Loves it over this journey and rates highly on best figures. Only needs to hold her form to be very competitive again. BRINGBACKTHEBEARS (6) has been in good form of late and was a handy winner two back. Drawn sticky but is expected to give this a big shake. DUCHY OF CORNWALL (7) was far from his best last start at Albury when a disappointing favourite. Shoulders a handy record on his home track and can bounce back sharply to break a long run of outs. Don't take lightly. JUST GO BANG (3) enjoyed a ratings spike last start at Canberra when digging deep to score. Is yet to be tested over this journey but is expected to handle it. In the mix.
SELECTIONS: Backing Fifi Blue to win.

WARRNAMBOOL: RACE 6 @ 1:50 PM

GOLDENSTATEWARRIOR (5) has only had the one start in Australia and caught the eye with his closing effort at Bendigo. Will be improved by the run and is in the right hands. Expected to go close. THE CREATOR (11) led throughout at Pakenham two starts back then was up on the speed and boxed on soundly on the Caulfield Heath. Looks better placed here and can bounce back. SUPER SNITCH (12) is trained here and will appreciate the drop in weight on most recent efforts at Geelong. Has to be given respect. ASPEN COLORADO (3) should be near his peak after two runs from a spell and on home track cannot be dismissed.
SELECTIONS: Back Goldenstatewarrior to win.

ROCKHAMPTON: RACE 5 @ 3:47 PM

CUMIN SPINNER (4) is a former Victorian who found better form second-up beaten 1L at a short quote. She has plenty up her sleeve and Stanley sticking aboard is a decent push for her chances. MAKIN' STATEMENTS (2) led and fought on to place distantly at Ipswich and will be fitter again. Has a small claim and is the one they have to get past. MASTER RICH (1) has been around the mark at Mackay and assess on the narrow defeat two-back over this distance. On a quick backup and is in the mix. PORTOLA (5) has been kept fresh, and Cartwright is on for the apprentice. Maps for a soft run and won't be far away at a price.
SELECTIONS: Backing Cumin Spinner.

PINJARRA SCARPSIDE: RACE 5 @ 5:27 PM

SASSY SKYE (9) brought strong form to resumption and just missed here on the main course over 1406m. Fronted up there again over shorter and didn't get into it from a wide barrier. Fitter again and has the key jockey switch to Pike. Will race handy on the quick backup and the 1500m should be right up her alley. SCENERY (2) has pieces of city form that are good enough. He raced a short-priced favourite at Geraldton last time and pulled up with heat stress. The form line doesn't inspire confidence but he's suited and is worth another chance. MISSEDTHEDEEL (10) peaks and best to forgive her latest run when she pulled up with an issue. She improved the race prior when beaten 1.8L here on the main course over a mile. Has a wide gate but keeps the handy 3kg claim and a much better effort is likely. WEST COAST WARRIOR (1) was around the mark here and at Ascot before dropping back to a sprint where he lacked a finishing dash. He's had plenty of chances but may be the one for the first fours.
SELECTIONS: With Sassy Skye.
