After seconds in three of her first four starts, Chris Wallertrained filly Invincibella broke through for her first win here, doing so narrowly but well in the Soft7 conditions. She settled in fourth place, moved up nearing the home turn, challenged at the 200m and then fought gamely to win in a photo. Team Hawkes-trained colt Missile Strike went to the front, lifted gamely when challenged at the 200m and then battled strongly for a promising second at only his second race start, while the Les Bridge-trained filly Zenalicious caught the eye running on late from second last in the eight-horse field for third.
