Godolphin-raced mare Painted Firetail put up a promising effort in winning here at her first run this preparation. She settled at the tail of the 11-horse field from her outside barrier (11), commenced a wide move approaching the home turn. She then sprinted well, in the centre of the track, hit the front on passing the 100m before going on for a soft win.
