Analysis: The short-priced favourite Missy Longstocking ($1.65) settled sixth, trapped three wide with cover. She went four wide at the home turn, where she was giving the leader (Vienna Queen) about four lengths. She moved up strongly to challenge at the 100m and had to dig deep to score a good short head win at the post. Outsider Hallside Rose raced outside the leader before taking the lead at the 200m. She then fought back gamely only being headed nearing the post for a good second. Enquare had a good trip third on the rails to the turn. She got through along the rails at the 200m and then kept fighting on quite well for third, beaten two lengths. Vienna Queen led to the 200m, tiring from that point to finish fourth. *ANZ
