The Gai Waterhouse-trained four-year-old gelding Projectile looks a very handy stayer. He was untroubled to take the lead, bowled along comfortably in front setting a moderate tempo. He moved well clear on turning for home and went to the post without any pressure to win by four and half lengths. He looks set for better things. *ANZ
