Le Bonsir has now won both starts this preparation and at this track. He was quickly away and led early before easing to enjoy a good trip behind the new leader (Elite Elle). He moved up to challenge rounding the home turn, dashed clear at the 100m and won quite comfortably by a length and half. Rekindled Interest had a good run about seventh on the rails after starting from the inside barrier (1). He got an inside run nearing the home turn to be third on straightening. He then made up ground for a good first-up second with his big weight (61kg). It Is Written was midfield, three wide with cover most of the way to the 600m. He fanned wide at the turn and made up good ground for third. The favourite Elite Elle ($3.10) showed her customary speed and soon led. She led the field into the straight but disappointed from the 100m, tiring to finish sixth beaten three and a half lengths. Elite Elle was subsequently found to be lame in the off-hind. *ANZ
