Hidden Kisses was smartly away from barrier nine and was eased to settle midfield, three wide with cover. She improved nicely nearing the home turn, got to a narrow lead at the 200m and then fought back gamely to score by a long neck. The ATC Australian Oaks (Gr 1, 2400m) winner Royal Descent was quickly away from her outside barrier (10) but was trapped wide and eased to settle just past midfield. She moved up well wide out from the 600m, challenged at the 200m and fought gamely under her top weight (59kg) for an excellent first-up second. Queen’s Elect was caught three wide outside the leading pair (No Looking Back & Pinocchio), hit the lead at the 200m and then battled on well for a good third. Scorpio Queen was near last to the 600m, got a split between runners passing the 200m and fought on for fourth while the staying mare Crafty Irna ran on nicely from last at the turn for good first-up fifth. *ANZ
