An important double for trainer Gai Waterhouse with Bull Point ($3.70) taking out this Group Three event after winning a similar class event two races earlier with her classy filly Nayeli. Bull Point began well today and Damien Oliver eased him to settle in a good spot, fourth one out and one back. He moved up three deep rounding the home turn, challenged at the 200m and then drew clear to score impressively by a length and a quarter. Worth A Ransom ($21) surprised with a strong, forward showing in stepping up to this class. He was smartly away, went straight to the lead and fought on very well when challenged for second, beaten just over a length. It was a smart effort. The Quarterback followed good form on ‘out of town’ tracks with a very good effort here. He was eased from his outside barrier (8) and settled at the tail of the field. He was giving the leader about eight lengths nearing the turn, saved ground along the rails on straightening and went to seventh at the 200m. He then ran on particularly well to just grab third at the post. He looks a quality three-year-old. Prince Harada ($2.75 fav) raced in fifth place, one off the rails, trailing the eventual winner. He moved up comfortably at the turn, put in a run at the 200m but just kept battling on from that point and just missed third in a photo to finish fourth. Fast ‘N’ Rocking settled in sixth place on the rails. He was seventh at the 300m and kept making ground to finish fifth, beaten four and three quarter lengths. *ANZ
