The highly promising Bjorn Baker-trained colt Winning Rupert is now unbeaten in four starts following his brilliant first up win at Eagle Farm on 3 December with another outstanding win here. He began well, went to the front and then ran along at a solid pace. He held a good lead at the 200m before drawing right away to win in very fast time (1:07.97) in a most impressive victory. Deep Image was back in sixth place and made ground for a good second while Our Beebee fought on, after being fifth at the home turn, to take the minor placing.
