The Tony Gollan-trained Most Important continues to race most consistently, taking his record to six wins and eight placings from 23 starts with another good win here, his second in stakes class. He enjoyed a good trip in third place on the rails, tracking a quick pace, got a split to challenge at the home turn, hit the front at the 200m and then fought back to win quite impressively. Too Good To Refuse remained in last place in the eight-horse field until nearing the home turn, went deep and got a split going to second at the 200m. He then kept fighting on well for second, in another smart effort. Miss Cover Girl was seventh, between runners, switched deeper and into clear running at the home turn. She then battled on nicely to just take the minor placing in the closing stages. Ninth Legion was fifth in the early stages, went to third (three wide without cover) at the 1000m and challenged at the home turn. He was third at the 200m and then held on for (7.5 lengths) fourth after a difficult trip.
