The Chris Munce-trained filly Champ Elect backed up her debut win here on 9 November with a narrow but very good win here. She settled in sixth place (wide with cover), went deep on straightening, challenged at the 100m and then went on to score by a half neck, doing so quite comfortably at the post. Make My Own Luck was third but trapped wide out. She got to the front at the 100m and then held on well for a good second after a difficult trip. Dream Kisses settled back in eighth place, was under riding coming to the home turn, went deep at the 200m and then ran on well for a good third. We Have Liftoff showed good pace and led the field until halfway down the straight before finishing (3 lengths) fourth.
