Lightly-raced mare It's Been A Battle took her consistent record to five wins from nine starts in taking out her first stakes success here. She was smartly away from her wide barrier (11) and soon crossed to the front. She then set a good tempo, got a break on turning for home before being challenged strongly at the 100m. She then fought back very gamely to score by the barest of margins in a gutsy effort. The Darren Weir-trained Stellar Collision had a good trip in fifth place on the rails, got through on the inner to be second shortly after straightening. He challenged strongly at the 100m and then battled on really gamely for the closest of seconds. Veteran sprinter Riziz was fourth on the rails, improved between runners coming to the home turn, got a split on passing the 200m and fought on to gain the minor placing in a photo.
